Hello! I'm Kelly, founder of Whole-Self Wisdom Coaching. After burning out from 20+ years in the corporate world and a few years of highs and lows starting a coaching business, I became a family caregiver. It wasn't until then that I realized the extent to which I unintentionally took on others' emotions. When you add in the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of caregiving on top of continuing to meet others’ emotional needs (before one's own), you learn that it’s just not sustainable.
All of the training—life coaching, mind-body/somatic coaching, shamanic healing, Trauma & Tension Release Exercise (TRE)—had prepared, and supported, me for my caregiving initiation; however, after my mother passed away, I learned that my adrenaline and cortisol levels were on fumes, I'd gained 25 pounds, and the fatigue made it difficult to feel inspired and market my services. Really, I just needed to be held, to rest, and do nothing.
Fortunately, I came across a cacao ceremony where the host shared the healing, nourishing energy of Reiki as well as details about the training she offered. I intuitively knew that I wanted to pursue Reiki Master certification, and found that the training gave me several opportunities to relax my nervous system and gain confidence in my ability to hold space for others.
Now is the perfect time to care for yourself— so your body can heal, so you can flow with your life's purpose, and so you can connect with those who resonate most with your most expansive dreams. One way to do this is with Reiki.
Reiki is a method of spiritual healing available to anyone open to receiving this loving energy. The energy that comes to a client is channeled from the universe and attends to the client who accepts the healing for their greatest and highest good.
The "ki" part of reiki means the life force energy within everyone and everything. The "rei" part of reiki, as translated in the Japanese language, means spirit, higher power, or spiritual consciousness that connects everything.
This modality is passed on during an "attunement" given by a Reiki master which allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve one's health and enhance the quality of life.
The more you feel safe feeling good, the more you'll feel safe to receive (inspiration, support, love, prosperity...)
A Reiki session offers a safe space to relax your nervous system. A practitioner who is attuned to the healing energy of Reiki can hold a space for energetic blocks to dissolve so that the self-healing process can take please more efficiently and effectively.
Currently, all of my Reiki sessions are offered over Zoom.
10 Min: We'll start with a chat to confirm your intention. Intention re-affirms that self-healing is always taking place and that the client is empowered to ask for the support needed and to take steps to care for themselves. As the practitioner, my role is to create and hold a space for healing to occur. Both client and practitioner are joined by their guides (in the invisible realms) to support us with our intentions.
45 Min: As you sit back, or lay down, in a comfortable spot, I'll radiate Reiki to your energy centers (chakras). Some sessions will focus on each chakra for a few minutes, while other sessions will focus on specific areas depending on your intention and where I'm guided intuitively. For remote sessions, I hold a crystal in place of laying my hands on you during an in-person session.
5 Min: To conclude, I'll check-in with you to see how you're feeling, and review ways (intuited during the session) in which you can continue to support your intention on your own/in between sessions.
